Counselor's Corner
Lana Nix has spent eighteen years at Carnegie High School. For the first 9 years, she served as the 9th and 10th grade English teacher. Since then she has been the JH and HS Guidance Counselor for the past 8 years. Ms. Nix assists students in several ways: individual and group counseling, testing (district wide testing as well as preparing for the ACT), scheduling, enrollment, etc. She is a big help to the senior class in helping them to prepare for their next stage in life whether it be college, vocational studies, military service, or straight to the job market. Ms. Nix loves her students and strives to help them on their journey to success.
